I am living my childhood dream of being a teacher here at SVELC and I’m so glad I get to do this amazing work each day. I have a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in social work. I am a licensed social worker (LSW). I have experience in the field of education and family therapy. My thesis paper in graduate school was about eco therapy and how nature can heal us, body, mind, and spirit. I appreciate that SVELC also believes the power of nature and the Reggio Approach.
During my free time, my family and I enjoy hiking, camping, and canoeing. I am a steward of a little free library and I also sing in the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra Choir. At work I am known for my creativity, singing and joy of all thing’s early childhood. These early years of a person’s life are magical, and I am honored to be part of the magic.
