Hello and thank you for viewing my biography. Because my first love and passion has always been children and families, early childhood education and the social service field mean the world to me. When I make a difference in the lives of children and families it makes my heart melt. It is for this reason that I have been involved in various roles including Associate Teacher, Lead Teacher, Local Site Manager, Family Development Coordinator, and Executive Director. My biggest accomplishments within my career include becoming NAEYC accredited under my leadership within the Head Start program and being Executive Director of a childcare ministry.

I began my educational journey with an associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Ivy Tech Community College. From there I decided to work on my bachelor’s degree in psychology with an emphasis in Child Development through Kaplan (now Purdue Global) University. Because my passion for children and families extends within the social service field, I received my Master of Social Work through the University of Southern Indiana. I am currently working on my doctorate in education (Ed.D) with a specialization in Early Childhood Education from Northcentral University and will be done in 2023.

Education is important to me because I am always wanting to learn and keep current on what is happening within the fields that I love. When not at SVELC, I love being with my family, church activities including committees, praise team and choir, and Jeri-time when possible. St. Vincent Early Learning Center has always been close to my heart because it is where my early childhood teaching journey began over 20 years ago. I missed it so much that I decided to come back, and I am so glad I did!
