Sister Joanne Vasa, D.C.

St. Vincent Early Learning Center has a long history of responding creatively to the needs of children and families, and I am pleased to be a part of this story as a Daughter of Charity.

I am an educator by profession, a Nebraska farmer’s daughter by birth, and a pilgrim by choice “on the journey of seeking to follow God’s desire for me”. My life as a Catholic sister has offered me the opportunity to serve God’s people in various parts of the country including St. Louis, Kansas City, Maryland, Austin, Chicago and since 2019 here in Evansville. I’ve also had the amazing opportunity to visit Paris, France several times, which is where our namesake, Saint Vincent de Paul, founded the Daughters of Charity almost 400 years ago.

I am passionate about providing music for worship with guitar or piano, and for fun I enjoy birding, bicycle riding and reading mysteries.
