My name is Jared Totsch, and at SVELC, I serve as the Director of Early Learning. Early childhood has been my passion for over twenty years. I see children as current citizens and future leaders. It is my responsibility to help cultivate spaces for children to reach their fullest potential to help produce a world of innovation and creativity. Through my work with local, state, and national early childhood organizations, I strive to advocate for our youngest citizens and those who work with them daily.
Over the years, I have pursued and completed various degrees in early childhood education, adult education, and leadership. I am a lifelong learner, and each degree or certificate I have obtained has propelled my passion for our youngest citizens even more. Over the past several years, I have studied what it means to cultivate the early childhood workforce, and the children served for a future that requires innovations, creativity, complex thinking, and much more. SVELC has offered me a space to combine theory and practice to create a better future. These opportunities are why I love working with the children, families, educators, and leaders of SVELC. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, and traveling.
