Emily Nation
Hello, my name is Emily Nation. I have been in the ECE field since 2009. I graduated with my associate’s degree in ECE from USI in 2009 and upon coming to SVELC, I was encouraged to go for my bachelor’s degree. I attended online classes through Ball State and finished in 2019, with a Minor in Special Education.
I have a daughter who attends here and I love watching her interact and grow with the impact of the Reggio Approach. I enjoy using my creativity to help grow in the Reggio Approach within my own classroom. I love sharing knowledge and working with fellow educators in the building. I love working here at St. Vincent Early Learning Center because we are evolving and incorporating new ideas into the field. I want to learn more and continue to grow with each class I have. There is always something new each day, even though routine is a huge part of our day. I enjoy having siblings of past students. It shows me that their parents appreciate and respect me as a teacher that they want to continue building that relationship.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, eating at new restaurants, walking around my neighborhood with my daughter in her stroller, baking, and caring for our animals. My friends play a huge role in my life, and I couldn’t do it without their camaraderie.
